Education at the Heart of the Mission
At its core, Association Mamynysoa is driven by the belief that education is a powerful tool for change. From vocational training to digital literacy, the association continuously works to make education accessible and relevant, especially for communities that are often overlooked.
This training reflects that mission bringing practical knowledge and real opportunity directly to people where they live, instead of requiring them to leave in search of it.
In its ongoing commitment to education, empowerment, and inclusion, Association Mamynysoa recently organized a freelance and digital skills training session, held in its headquater. With 8 participants attended, the impact was meaningful and another step forward in bridging the digital divide.

As access to the global job market becomes increasingly digital, freelancing offers a powerful opportunity for people especially those in remote or underserved areas to earn an income, build independence, and connect with clients around the world. The training introduced participants to:
-
The basics of freelancing platforms (like Upwork, Fiverr, Proz.com etc.)
-
Essential digital skills (email, writing, online communication)
-
Tools for remote work (Google Docs, Canva, communication tools)
-
How to build a portfolio and find online jobs
Despite the modest turnout, the session was highly interactive and filled with curiosity, motivation, and the desire to learn.
Challenges: Access to Equipment
One key issue raised during the training was limited access to computers, especially among women. While mobile phones are common, they are not sufficient for many types of freelance work. Without a laptop or desktop, learning and practicing these new skills becomes difficult.
Association Mamynysoa is now seeking ways to provide digital tools and access, especially to women and young people who show interest and potential in freelancing. The lack of equipment should not be a reason to fall behind in today’s connected world.
What’s Next?
The association plans to continue this important work, with the hope of:
-
Expanding outreach in rural areas
-
Organizing follow-up sessions and mentorship
Creating partnerships to provide second-hand laptops or shared computer lab
A Small Start With a Big Future
Sometimes, change begins with just a few people in a small room. This training may have reached eight individuals but their newfound knowledge, motivation, and dreams have the power to inspire many more.
Association Mamynysoa will continue to stand for education, empowerment, and equity
