Introducing Mamynysoa Association: A Commitment to Solidarity, Education, and Poverty Reduction in Madagascar

Founded in 2024, Mamynysoa is a non-profit association based in Madagascar, driven by the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and community empowerment. It operates under Ordinance No. 60-133 of October 3, 1960, which governs associations in Madagascar. Guided by solidarity and mutual aid, Mamynysoa promotes education and poverty reduction through local initiatives that support children’s schooling, empower women, and strengthen communities. Mamynysoa was born from a shared vision: to improve lives through education, compassion, and meaningful action.

In Malagasy, “Mamynysoa” evokes kindness and doing good. These values are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that true development starts at the community level, with people helping one another and lifting each other up. Our association brings together passionate individuals who want to make a real difference, especially for vulnerable populations affected by poverty and lack of access to basic services.

Our Mission and Objectives


Mamynysoa’s core mission is to support education and reduce poverty through inclusive and sustainable community initiatives. We focus on empowering children, youth, and women, those who are often most at risk of being left behind.

Our key objectives include:

  • Promoting access to quality education for children and young people, especially in rural and underserved areas. We provide school supplies, support school fees when possible, and collaborate with local educators to improve learning environments.

  • Fostering community solidarity by encouraging volunteerism and local involvement. We believe that real change happens when communities take ownership of their future.

  • Encouraging economic resilience by supporting micro-projects and offering basic skills training to help families generate income and achieve self-sufficiency.

  • Raising awareness about health, nutrition, and social issues through campaigns, workshops, and outreach programs that inform and empower communities.

In Madagascar, many communities face significant challenges, including limited access to education, high levels of poverty, and vulnerability to health and environmental crises.
